Throughout the years, Linda Cohen has dedicated herself to the art of music supervision, partnering with leading filmmakers across an impressive spectrum of projects that span indie hits and prestige awards contenders in both film and television.
Linda’s current work includes the forthcoming new films, from writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson One Battle After Another (Warner Bros.) starring Leonardo DiCaprio, from writer/director Benny Safdie The Smashing Machine (A24) starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, and the long awaited Disney sequel Freakier Friday starring Jaime Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.
Her current work in television includes new seasons of the critically acclaimed The Morning Show (Apple TV+), the popular UK-based political thriller The Agency: Central Intelligence (Paramount+) and the sci-fi adventure series Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters (Legendary TV/Apple+).
Linda began her music supervision career in New York working on celebrated independent films like American Splendor, The Namesake, Happy Accidents and Camp and for HBO the beloved Classical Baby series. After moving back to Los Angeles, she supervised the cult favorite Nick And Norah’s Infinite Playlist (Sony) and the hugely popular hit film series The Kissing Booth (Netflix), along with other celebrated films like Argo (winner/Academy Award “Best Picture”), PT Anderson’s masterpiece There Will Be Blood (Paramount Vantage), George Clooney’s The Tender Bar (Amazon) and the Christmas musical Spirited (Apple Films). She also worked on the television series Fear The Walking Dead (AMC), Hell On Wheels (AMC), Perry Mason (HBO), Berlin Station (Paramount Tv), and Tokyo Vice (HBO).
Linda has also had the unique opportunity to consult in-house as a studio executive, first at Paramount Vantage where she music supervised Mike White’s Year Of The Dog and oversaw the Coen Brothers film No Country For Old Men, and more recently at Universal Pictures where she lent her expertise on films like Nosferatu (Focus Features), Nope (Universal Pictures, and The Wild Robot (Dreamworks Animation).
Her favorite aspect of the job is collaborating with filmmakers and helping to bring their musical vision to life. Every project is unique. Every project is it’s own adventure.
